Current Grants
2023 Professional Development Grant
The BCSCA is pleased to announce it will be awarding six separate $500.00 grants to BCSCA registered coaches from Jan 1 st . 2023 through March 1 st 2023. These grants will be given out for the purpose of swim coach development and learning. It is our hope that coaches will get creative in their grant applications and find ways that will help better them in our profession. Grants will be issued to coaches who meet the application criteria below. The BCSCA board of directors will review all grant applications in the order they are received. Once all six grants have been awarded no more applications will be taken.
Criteria
Must be a registered member of the BSCSA in good standing for the 2022-23 swim season.
Applicants will apply with a written email stating what they intend to use grant money for. We want to know how this grant will impact your coaching or club programming.
Acceptable usage of the grants could include but are not restricted to:
Traveling to visit other coaches, bringing people to your home club and online learning such as technology, HR courses and communications.
Approved grants will be handed out after a receipt is provided to the BCSCA and a reflection report is submitted. Grants will not exceed $500.00 per individual coach.
Awarded coaches are required to write a brief reflection report stating how they used the grant money and how it impacted them. Reports must be completed within one month of when the intended grant activity is completed.
Reflection Reports will be posted on the BCSCA website for others to read.
Grants applications for NCCP courses will NOT be approved.
Grant must be used Prior to August 31 st , 2023

Application will be accepted starting January 10th 2023.
